Last Saturday, Grand Capital held a free class for traders in the company’s Windhoek office. The event was headed by our Director of Development in Africa Goutam Das.

From May 20, 2019, the ability to select the method of accounting positions is added for Platform 5-Real and Platform 5-Demo accounts - Netting or Hedge. The choice of the way to account for positions is mandatory when opening an account. To do this, you just need to tick the system that interests you.

Open an Platform 5 account

Now at Grand Capital, all Platform 5 accounts are opened by default with a hedging accounting system. If you already have an Platform 5 account, you need to close all positions on the account in order to change the accounting system from hedging to netting and after that contact technical support with a request to change the system.

What to choose?

Netting system

Netting position accounting system is traditional for stock trading. Its main feature is that the volume and financial result of an open position for a single instrument is calculated by aggregating the volume and financial result of all newly opened or closed positions. Any further opening or closing of a position on this instrument leads to a proportional change in the volume and financial result within the framework of the existing single position.

Hedging system

The hedging system is more flexible and simple. It was created taking into account the needs of traders, for example, it allows conducting multidirectional trading.

Main features:

• The instrument can open a lot of positions, including locking, that is, open a position in the opposite direction if the price for the first position goes against the trader.
• If there is an open position on the trading instrument and the trader makes a new deal (or a pending order is triggered), a new position is opened. The existing position doesn't change.

From May 10 to 12, 2019, a three-day training course on trading took place in Ouagadougou.

It was conducted by the Grand Capital representatives in Burkina Faso - Abdoulaye Bougma, Boris TeNe, Relwende Anatol. They have been professionally engaged in forex trading and market analytics for many years.

The course consisted of theoretical and practical parts. In the theory part, the speakers talked about how the forex works and explained important terms without understanding of which it is impossible to engage in trade. In the practical part, they discussed simple and profitable forex strategies, presented and told in more detail about the Trading Platform 4.

On May 15, 2019 at 15:00 terminal time, all previously opened Platform 5 demo accounts will be forcibly deleted due to moving to a separate GrandCapital-Demo server. The moving is carried out because of the improvement of the real server. It will further increase the speed of execution of transactions.
