Spot contracts for gold expressed in euros are traded as XAU/EUR. This instrument is present on all popular exchange platforms: NYMEX, COMEX, LME. There’s also a dollar counterpart of this instrument. However, XAU/EUR doesn’t have any particular advantages or disadvantages compared to XAU/USD.
If you plan to trade spot contracts for gold against the euro, it’s important to analyze the EUR/USD quotes. This financial instrument directly influences the price of gold. If the American national currency falls in price, an ounce of gold becomes more expensive. The reverse correlation is also true. XAU/EUR trading is associated with a certain number of difficulties, but has a large potential for stable profits.
