Alcoa Inc. is an industrial company in the US, the world’s eighth-largest producer of aluminum as of 2018. In addition, the company mines bauxite, produces alumina, aluminum products, and alloys.
Total market cap of Alcoa is over $30 billion, the stock is traded on NYSE. Investors should be really careful when working with this instrument: the quotes are very volatile as seen from the example of 2015 when the price went down 30% due to a decline in aluminum consumption.
